The southern state of Alabama is situated in the Heart of Dixie. It has a rich history that goes back to the Civil War. First is the Creek Entertainment Center in the city of Atmore which opens from Mondays through Thursdays, 10 a.m. to 12 midnight, and Fridays and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 4 a.m. The Creek Entertainment Center has 1000 bingo seats, several pull-tab gaming machines, 200 electronic bingo machines and an on-site restaurant.

The Tallapoosa Entertainment Center is the largest among the three casinos and it is located in Montgomery. It opens 24 hours daily, from Monday through Sunday. It has an area of 21000 square feet, 480 electronic bingo machines, and a bar and grille for dining.

Other Alabama casinos such as the Riverside Entertainment Center is in Wetumpka and it is operated by the Native Americans. It is open 24 hours a day, Mondays through Saturdays at 12 noon to closing and on Sundays from 1 p.m. until closing. It has an area of 16000 square feet, more than 530 various slot machines and a restaurant.

Though there may be only several casinos and gambling is not quite as operational as it is illegitimate in most parts of Alabama, the future will be much better for the gambling industry in this state if there will be more casinos especially along the Gulf Coast. This area is such a great prospect since it will invite more visitors in to the state, and it will definitely boost the gambling revenue further. Nevertheless, Alabama casinos have provided the locals and the visitors much entertainment through the years of their existence.
